The History of MFCU

Serving the Kansas City area for over half a century, Metropolitan Federal Credit Union began it's journey as Safeway Kansas City Employee's Federal Credit Union on February 2nd 1951. Since these humble beginnings we have expanded our membership to over 3000 and have increased our services to include checking accounts, ATM / point of purchase cards, an Audio Response Teller (ART), and some of the best loan rates in the city.

Located in the heart of Old Westport, Metropolitan Federal Credit Union continues to offer an amazing service plan which will only increase in convenience and speed as we progress into the 21st century.
